RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM ADMISSIONS
Eligible for admission are females between the ages of 14 to 18 who are suffering from emotional problems and in need of a nurturing environment, providing structure and supervision. The majority of our residents are referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). However, adolescent girls may also apply to Project Return by calling and making an appointment to meet with the Executive Director. Also, parents, therapists, social workers, hospital staff, guardians and legal professionals may contact us regarding a girl who they think may benefit from our program. Initial interviews are held at the house, providing time to talk about the prospective resident's current challenges and goals.
After this initial interview, if the applicant is eligible to live at Project Return and wishes to learn more about the program, a second longer placement meeting is scheduled in which the prospective resident meets with other staff and residents and observes daily activities of the house including joining us for dinner. This is a good opportunity for a girl to imagine herself as part of the Project Return community. Staff is always happy to answer any questions regarding the Guidelines for Living at Project Return.
We are also happy to send you literature on Project Return.
