INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS
Project Return has been a training ground for many student interns involved in a degree program in the field of human services. Interns are typically referred to us through their academic programs and go through an interview process and reference check. We have been fortunate to have many wonderful undergraduate and graduate interns from New York University, Fordham, Sacred Heart, Fairfield University, and Southern Connecticut.
Supervision of undergraduate interns is conducted by Resident Managers with oversight provided by the Executive Director. Supervision of graduate students is conducted by designated clinicians with oversight provided by the Executive Director.
The goals for student interns are:
- To acquaint the student with various program roles and functions
- To develop a working knowledge for the functions/responsibilities of a group home.
- To understand program goals and objectives and how to use them on an individual basis.
- To develop skills necessary to function in a human services field.
