Let Your Creativity Take Flight
Let's blow the roof off the birdhouse auction with your imagination! Create your "birdhouse" in any medium or in any format with a bird or birdhouse theme: birdhouses, paintings, antiques, & bird feeders are all acceptable, the more whimsical and unique the better.
Birdhouses for use outdoors are especially desirable!

Important Parameters:

Important Note:
We reserve the right to limit the number of birdhouses in order to maximize the presentation and display of each piece of artwork.

Complete your birdhouse and deliver it to the birdhouse committee anytime before the deadline: January 22, 2012. For dates, times, and location for birdhouse drop-offs, email renee@projectreturnct.org.

Receive Recognition for your Contribution
Your birdhouse may be spotlighted in the tri-state area in newspapers, radio or TV, and in special events before the auction. Artist information will be displayed with the birdhouses and in the program accompanying the auction.

Join us at our stunning new venue, Rolling Hills Country Club and meet hundreds of people who are interested in buying your creation; enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeurves with fellow artists and supporters of Project Return and help us blow the feathers off the fowl! Watch for other special events that will rock the aviaries to mark the Auction's 16th Anniversary!

Soaring Successes
The first 15 Project Return Birdhouse Auctions were soaring successes. More than 500 guests attended each event and over 2400 birdhouses were contributed, generating over $1 million to benefit Project Return.

What is Project Return?
Project Return is a temporary home for teenage girls where over 150 residents have been helped since its inception in 1986. A therapeutic residential group home, Project Return provides love, security, structure, guidance, and both tears and laughter to girls who, for a multitude of reasons, cannot stay safely in their parents homes. They come from many backgrounds; many have experienced abuse. This is their place to heal.

Why birdhouses?
Birdhouses are a safe haven for birds on a journey. Though seldom their final residence, the birdhouses provide temporary, protective shelters for birds in transition. Such is Project Return: a way station for troubled girls while they repair their lives and find their wings, ultimately to make their way back home to a more settled life.

Your Participation is More Important than Ever
Fund-raising has never been more important because of the ever-escalating costs of providing high-quality, 24-hour-a-day care for seven girls. State funding provides, at most, only two-thirds of operating costs for such an important place for young girls. The rest must come from the generosity of friends.

We hope you will be able to join us in the excitement of this year's event. If you are unable to create a birdhouse this year, you can endow a birdhouse instead.
