Project Return - Staff

OUR STAFF

The direct care staff at Project Return have backgrounds in clinical social work, psychology, art therapy, education, counseling, coaching and parenting. Each staff member brings her/his own unique talents to Project Return and is an important part of creating the nurturing and therapeutic environment that allows the girls to heal and grow. Extraordinarily low turnover has produced a very cohesive staff team and consistent collaboration with the community. As a result, Project Return is able to provide a comprehensive and solid support network for each girl.

Susie Basler has led Project Return as Executive Director since its inception. Project Return's PASS (Preparing Adolescents for Self-Sufficiency) Group Home is staffed 24 hours a day by four full-time Resident Managers who rotate through the week. Part-time Support Staff who work afternoons and evenings assists them. The group home also has a Clinical Coordinator, an Educational Coach, a Transitional Living Coordinator, and a Nurse.
Together they create a warm, nurturing, family style environment.

The Aftercare Program is overseen by the Aftercare Coordinator who utilizes staff from the group home to maintain consistency and connection. The Transitional Living Program has individual case managers assigned to each resident as well as a clinical group leader and therapeutic support as needed. HEAL has its own Program Coordinator and utilizes leaders for each school-based group and parent group.

"From the start, the idea has been to provide a therapeutic family structure, with love, security, and guidance, in order to give each girl a chance to rebuild her life and her relationships with her family"
